Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Recon LC website and game store about you, why, and what you can do about it. Recon LC is a free, fan-run Last Chaos server run by the Recon LC team. It is not affiliated with the original publisher.

## What we store
- Your account: login name, email address and password. The game keeps the password in its account database because it checks it when you log in. We never show it to anyone, including staff.
- Sign-in and security: the IP address you created the account from, the time and IP address of your last website login, and the IP addresses of your game logins. The game also records an ID of the last computer that logged in (the ID of its disk, and its processor model). If you turn on two-factor login we store its key encrypted, and your backup codes only as scrambled fingerprints.
- Your game data: characters, items, guilds, rankings and everything else the game needs to run.
- Cash and payments: your Cash balance and history, donations (amount, currency, the payment provider's reference and status), supporter badges (and, if you link Patreon, your Patreon member ID and name), vouchers and codes you redeemed, votes, invite rewards, daily and spend rewards, Market listings and trades, Vault items and game rounds.
- Support: your tickets and our answers.
- Staff actions: a log of what staff change on accounts (for example bans or Cash corrections), with the time and IP address.

## Why
- To run your account and the game, and to deliver what you get or buy.
- To keep accounts safe and stop cheating and abuse: for example, invite rewards are not paid when two accounts share a connection or a computer.
- To answer your tickets and to keep correct records of donations.

We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.

## Who else sees it
- Payment providers (PayPal, NOWPayments, Patreon, and gift card sellers) handle your payment details. We never see your card or bank numbers; we only get a confirmation and a reference.
- Google sends our emails (Gmail), shows the "I'm not a robot" check (reCAPTCHA) when you create an account, reset your password or mistype your password several times, and serves the fonts of this website (Google Fonts). All other scripts, including the 3D scene and the QR code for two-factor login, come from this website itself.

These services receive your IP address when your browser loads them, under their own privacy policies.

## Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: one that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers your language. No tracking or advertising cookies.

## How long we keep it
- Your account data stays while you have an account.
- When you delete your account (Account > Password and email), it closes after 7 days: you can cancel until then. After that the login stops working and your email address is removed. Donation and Cash records are kept, because we need them for our accounts and to prevent fraud.
- Backups of the databases are kept for up to about a month and then deleted.

## Your choices
- See your data: download a copy from Account > Password and email > "Download my data".
- Correct it: change your email or password in your account, or ask us in a support ticket.
- Delete it: delete your account as described above.
- Questions or requests: open a support ticket. We answer as soon as we can.

## Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with its date.
